As all the dropships entered their respective cruisers, Lance opened  a secure channel with the Taskforce members.

"All right men, strap yourselves in, we're going to enter hyperspace in ten seconds"

When all the dropships had entered the cruisers, they went into hyperspace, within an hour they entered orbit above Anobis, the cruiser scanners detected a small fleet comprised of one Imperial battleship, and three Imperial frigates, as soon as they came out of hyperspace the enemy started firing, the blast sounds could be heard in every part of the republic cruisers.

Meanwhile the dropships took off towards the planet surface, they entered the atmosphere in a matter of seconds, Lance stood up and got his weapons from the racks and loaded them with an energy pack, he then put on his helmet and activated a hologram projector which was linked to the other fropships channels.

In every dropship appeared a hologram of a trooper in green trooper armor, the hologram spoke with a charismatic voice.

"All right, men. We've entered Anobis' atmosphere. The reason we've decided to attack the Imperials in this system is because they are searching for a republic weapons research facility located in an underground bunker. They came by this information by means of a spy in the republic military command, he's already being hunted, but that is not our problem.... Our problem is to get to the research lab and stop the Imperials from seizing it, once that's done we'll fire the Ion cannons of the base at the Imperial ships. The hard part though is getting inside the base. That's why we've been called in, you all represent the elite among us. Those who have been granted a command function will have to command the small striketeams individually, the corporals will be the ones leading the striketeams, Sergeant Oranus and I will be the ones trying to take the controll room, the others will be a diversion for the Imperial forces that patrol or fight inside the base. It is the corporals responsibility to keep them occupied while we activate the base defense systems."

As he told the men the plan, the ships started to land on the surface, Lance came out of his ship with a squad of men following him. Each ship carried a number of twenty men tops, when the ships had landed their troops hell broke loose.

The Imperials started firing at their enemy with fierce ferocity and Lance and his squad took cover begind some boulders and started ordering his men around, the Taskforce was outnumbered, but they were the ones being tactical.

And so the battle had started.

As the ramp slammed into the ground, Tychus saw a Jedi immediately spring into action, deflecting enemy bolts that would've made early casualties in this fight. Soon the entire transport was returning fire, Tychus firing a grenade into the midst of the enemy then yelled "disembark, move!"
Jumping out of the transport 15 men fell upon the enemy like a Rancor.
Missle fire, everyone else cover him Tychus ordered.
Soon a roar of blasters both semi-auto and repeater were launching bolts through the sky, then all that was heard was an explosion as the rocket his its mark.
Clear sir the trooper with the rocket tube said
Move, we're onto bigger and better enemies Tychus replied.
As the men and women acknowledged his order, Tychus paused thinking to himself where is this coming from?

Saina picked up her saber and followed Lance and Tychus out. She saw a wounded Smuggler as she stepped of the ramp. Saina looked at the enemy, they were twice as many. The Smuggler thanked her and went to the battle once again. Saina deflected a few blaster bolts as she ran to Lance.

"How are we doing are we making any progress, have you informed the captain about our situation?"

Cal came running up to the group his armor covered in dirt and grit kicked up by the enemy fire.  Taking cover in a small ditch he said, "We need to move.  I don't want to be around once those ships in orbit are in range of us, or the enemy get CAS."

Progress was slow, Tychus and the east flank were holding strong as the transports took off for orbit, providing cover for the ground troops as they did so. Tychus looked over to the west and saw the entire line was ready for a push.
Going to the unit comms he said Liutenant we are ready to charge, grenades and rockets are prepped and ready for cover.
With transports now in orbit the warriors were on their own, no reinforcements and no retreat, the space battle was ongoing and our target on the ground was a few hundred metres away. Returning fire, Tychus waited for the order like the others.

Lance who was sitting behind a large boulder with a squad of soldiers, saw Saina run towards him and said to her.

"If we want to make progress, we'll have to make a bold move. Be ready to charge the Imperials on my mark, jedi."

He gave a few quick commands to the squad that was with him. He then got on the comm with Cal, Tychus and their squad.

"All right, charge the enemy within ten seconds after this message, make them think only the east flank is attacking them, after the Imperials are occupied with you, we'll flank them. Make sure to use grenade launcher attachments to get their attention."

He then turned to Saina again and said.
"Hopefully your concentration will hold during this encounter, because I'd like you to do something very bold, there is a small boulder which was loosened by an explosion a few meters from our position. I'd like you to lift it up and throw it at the Imperials, can you do that?

Saina nodded and said "I will do what you ask, but you must keep their fire away from me."

Saina closed her eyes and felt the rock. She threw it at them as fast as she could, it was a big rock so she had to keep all her focus on it. Saina could her the enemies shooting at her, but she could also hear her allies firing back.

Five... Six... Seven... Eight... Nine...
 Now! Give 'em hell! Tychus and the entire eastern line got up and charged across no man's land, blaster bolts from both sides erupted. To his right, Tychus saw a huge rock smash into a rock outcrop where a heavy weapon was positioned.
Good work Jedi Tychus thought, fire and manuever tactics were the only way to survive the charge and grenades were the perfect cover option. Using the scope he grabbed at the last minute, he took out a sith guard that has been keeping the more forward fighters heads down.
Cal, you still with us? Tychus said through the comms as a Jedi jumped over his cover.

"Not one for glorious charges, I am Oscar Mike on your six.  I am going to have wait for my barrel to cool down in T minus fifty seconds.  Any chance we could be in cover by then?" With that Cal opened fire on a group of Imperials that had taken cover behind a small outcrop of stone.  Ducking into what little cover he could find call Cal pull a grenade from his equipment belt  "One, Two, Frag out!" Cal looked away from the flash of light, looking at where the grenade had hit he could see two figures running from their old firing position, one more lay on the ground not moving.

Lance took a position in front of Saina when she launched boulder towards the enemy. He gave the command to fire within a minute after Tychus squad started their charge. Blaster bolts flew across the heads of the taskforce members, the battle went on, it's intensity and danger coming to a climax.

A few of the republican troopers got blasted by the imperial fire, but when the fight was over Lietenant Scorpio called the remainder of the force together.

"Well fought, men. You've all earned the right to be part of this team, you've proven yourselves today. But we're not done yet. Even though we lost some brave soldiers today, we cannot mourn their loss as of yet."

Lance activated a hologram projector, showing an image of the facility below them.
"You all know the plan, keep the imperials distracted as we, Sergeant Oranus and I and a small team get to the controll room to secure the base. The corporals, will each controll a small squad, and start wreaking havoc in the base. Keep the imperials occupied while we do our job, make sure you keep in radio contact at all times, coordinate your strikes and perhaps we won't even need the base defense systems active at the end of the day. All right you all know your duties, now move out. The corporal teams go in first, make them think you are the attack force."

Running over to Lt Scorpio, Tychus was reloading and saluted to the trooper.
Here sir, it's good to meet you. Tychus looked over to the building they would soon be assaulting.

"My squad will push down the center of the base and hopefully keep them occupied, if we manage to we will try and give Scorpio's team something between the imps and them.  I assume we don't want to leave anything of value for the enemy to find.  Save that data destroy everything else?  If we will set explosive charges as we go.  Maybe when we pull back to the LZ we can draw some imps into the blast zone."  Cal looked at his squad, "Stay frosty in there it is going to be room to room.  First task will be to secure the security station beyond the doors." At that he moved up to the doors, "Ready to go on your orders Lieutenant."
